It is quickly evident the EWA Marine D-950 underwater housing was made for the CP-950. The 990 is a tight fit to get into the housing, but most evident is the fact the optical port doesn't perfectly line up with lens opening on the 990. It takes a wee bit of stretching to pull the lens opening under and into the port. Once this is done there is a slight tension in the bag as the lip on the lens holds the alignment in place against the lip of the port.

It is tough to work the camera controls through the heavy PVC, so it's best to make any major setting changes prior to inserting the camera. Also due to the differing refractive properties of air and water the camera needs to be fully zoomed out for underwater photography. The added losses of the PVC as well as the multiple additional media interfaces can make seeing the image in the camera's LCD a bit difficult. You have more surfaces to reflect glare. Which for me is made even more difficult by my extreme nearsightedness. Some of these images were just taken by just pointing and shooting.
